Environmental carcinogens are nothing but natural or synthetic substances that may cause the cancers. These carcinogens may acutely effect the humans. Such mutagens can be divided into Physical, chemical, viral & hormones.Some of the carcinogens that are present in environment are asbestos, vinyl chloride, asbestos, ultraviolet rays, x-rays etc. where more of the mutagens are unreactive or called as secondary mutagens where it will converted to primary mutagens which may act as cancer inducing agents.
There are several environmental factors that may lead to carcinogenic for humans and often present a serious risk for the humans. With the exposure to this environmental pollutants may lead to cancers.
Let us talk about the environmental carcinogens that are effected by different ways:
• Polluted Drinking Water: Water is very essential sustain in our daily life where polluted water impose major threat to the human health.
• Poor Air Quality: Air pollution may lead to several infectious diseases, lung cancers, cardiovascular diseases etc.
• Chemical pollutants: Chemical pollutants mainly seen in the industrial areas by inhaling the air near vicinity of sources such as industries. Asbestos is chemical which will severely effect the humans causing lung fibrosis, mesothelioma, cancer of larynx & ovary & asbestosis.
• Food chemicals: Food chemicals that induce the carcinogenic effects in the humans are dioxins, changes in thyroid & steroid hormones & reproductive functioning.
• Radon radiation: A Natural gas the escape from the ground & surface water is the most prominent for the environmental radioactivity.
By this Environmental toxins or carcinogens leadings to the death of several million people. This can be rectified by living in good surroundings; by following proper sterilization methods the problem can be rectified.
